Christopher Lam, 17, from West Derby, is member of the England team, who racked up a fleet in the UK is heading down, missed out on gold, which went to Iceland’s Arnar David Jonsson, but was given bronze along with teammate Michael Nock.
Father Peter Lam said he is proud of his son and was impressed with this game.
He said: “England as a team won the most medals – two gold, couple of silver and four bronze – and Chris ended up with bronze, which was a fantastic achievement.
“When you get to that level, there is not much between the boys.”
